In August of 2010, the Triangle Ladies Power Lunch moved from being just a social outing to being a luncheon with a cause.  Every month, proceeds from the luncheon go to support the Pretty in Pink Foundation, an organization that "serves people diagnosed with breast cancer who have limited health insurance benefits, or in many cases, no health insurance at all." 

Since partnering with this outstanding organization, 12 survivors, or "Heroes," have been honored at the monthly luncheons.  These women have battled a most formidable adversary, and have done so with a grace and an elegance that is second to none.  In addition, each month brings a moment to remember those we have loved who lost their brave battle with breast cancer - those women who taught us what it truly means to be powerful. 

In honor of her commitment to fighting breast cancer, in June of 2011, Pretty in Pink honored founder Carrie Peele with her own line item in their donor list.  Now, any monies received in honor of Carrie Peele will be used to help a woman who needs a biopsy or consultation, one who otherwise would not have the opportunity to seek treatment.

It is our privilege to have these ladies join us.  It is our honor to treat them to a pink limousine ride and a gift basket full of goodies to make their days a little easier.  It is our honor to be in the presence of true strength.
